Program Description |
| Linkhorn Park Elementary School Mathematics and Science Academy is designed for students in grades three, four, and five who have a high level of interest in and talent for mathematics and science, and who would benefit from a rigorous program. Often children who have special talents in mathematics and science need an accelerated or enriched program of study. The Mathematics and Science Academy will focus on the specific academic needs of students, while at the same time encouraging their interests and talents through multiple academic opportunities. |

Academy Instruction |
| The Academy courses will be taught by a team of teachers at each grade level in grades three through five. One teacher will deliver the mathematics and science curriculum, and a second teacher will deliver the remaining subjects. The curriculum will involve all of the courses in instruction such as language arts, social studies, music, art, science and mathematics. However, mathematics and science will be the focus and driving force of the course of study. The Academy will be part of the regular school with Academy classrooms clustered together, so that students and teachers can more easily work together and plan. |
